Darryl Brewer, owner of MAGIC CARWASH & DETAIL in Fort Worth, has been hired as the new economic development manager for the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, President & CEO Devoyd Jennings announced last month..
Brewer replaces Jeremiah Anderson who held the position for three years, before leaving in November to take a job with the Dallas Regional Chamber.
“With a multi-faceted background in business and sales, Darryl brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position and to the Chamber overall,” Jennings said. “He will be a great asset to us as we continue to tackle the economic development issues in the underserved portions of our community.”
A U.S. Army and Army National Guard veteran, Brewer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Communications from the University of Texas at Arlington. He’s done continuing education work in sales at various seminars around the country.
His business was the “Editor’s Choice Award” winner for Best Car Wash presented by Fort Worth Weekly Magazine.
“I consider it an amazing opportunity to help improve the business and personal lives in our community.” Brewer said. “People are moving to Fort Worth from all over the country. This growth gives us a great chance to participate in the economic wealth that’s being created. We must do our part to our share of the pie. I thank God for preparing me for this time in my life.”
Brewer is married and the father of three adult children. His hobbies include reading and playing bass guitar.
