The FWMBCC would like to share an important and time-sensitive opportunity that needs to be on every small business’s radar in Tarrant County. We do not want our Chamber Members to miss out on this grant funding!
Tarrant County has developed a Small Business Workforce Recovery Grant Program which will distribute $25 million of the federal funds received under ARPA to provide financial assistance to Tarrant County for-profit and non-profit small businesses.
The grant application period opens on Tuesday, July 11th at 12 noon and funding will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Business Grant Eligibility:
- Must qualify as an Impacted Industry as defined by the U.S. Treasury and adopted by Commissioners Court.
- Must be physically located and operating in Tarrant County since 1/1/2020.
- Must have had 50 or fewer employees as reported on 1st Quarter 2020 Form 941.
- Owners of multiple businesses are only eligible to apply for ONE business. All owners must
be disclosed within the application. - Grant amounts up to $27,500 for qualifying non-profit and for-profit businesses.
- Deadline to apply is August 31, 2022, at 5 p.m. or until funds are depleted.
Approved Industries to Apply:
- Tourism, Travel, and Hospitality
- Non-Profit Service Providers
- Arts & Culture
- Food Service
- Construction and Landscaping
- Gym/Fitness
- Healthcare
- Mortuary Services
- Manufacturing
- Personal Care Services
- Retail stores that do not sell essential household goods
Full Business Criteria:
- Must be physically located and operating in Tarrant County since January 1, 2020.

- 1st Quarter 2020 Form 941 (used for employee count**)
- 1st Quarter 2022 Form 941
- U.S. Government Issued Identification for Owner
- Form W-9
- 2020 IRS Tax Return
*All required documentation must be uploaded and submitted with the application. Applications missing required documentation will be determined incomplete and ineligible for funding.
